ACTIVE CHIPSET HEATSINK SOLUTION
PCIe 4.0 provides twice the bandwidth for data flowing through the chipset, which creates more heat than the previous generation. The Hero features an actively cooled heatsink to prevent throttling during sustained transfers.

HEATSINKS
Heatsinks are extremely important for motherboards, as they absorb heat from critical areas to ensure components do not stagger due to overheating. With VRM, PCH and M.2 heatsinks, ROG Crosshair VIII Hero ensures efficient and stable operation even when pushed hard.
